Google could soon compete with the AirPods Pro with a new pair of headphones. The hypothesis of seeing Pixel Buds Pro arrive is gaining momentum as the I/O conference looms.
Headphones true-wireless are the big trend of the moment in the world of audio. Like Samsung or Apple, Google has decided to position itself with its Pixel Buds or the Pixel Buds A-Series. The latter are stamped “A” and are more affordable than their elders with an introductory price of €99.99, against €199.99 for the classic model. On the other hand, Google does not offer no high-end versione to tickle the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro or Apple AirPods Pro; without forgetting sound specialists like Sony and its WF-1000XM4.
The next Google I / O, which will be held on May 11 and 12, could allow the Mountain View firm to rectify the situation. According to leaker and youtuber Jon Prosser, Google will “soon” launch headphones called Pixel Buds Pro :

Apart from color names (Real Red, Carbon, Limoncello and Fog), no details have leaked out about these headphones. The “Pro” endorsement tends to confirm that this is a premium pair of headphones; but we will have to wait until we know the features and the design to know if the Pixel Buds Pro will be able to shake up the AirPods Pro. Despite this meager information, the announcement of a new pair of true wireless headphones would make sense. The sector is booming and audio interests Google which will bring spatial audio with dynamic head tracking in Android 13.
Finally an active noise reduction on Google headphones?
As mentioned previously, the current catalog of Google skips really high-end headphones. The second generation of Pixel Buds is already two years old and the Pixel Buds A-Series landed on the market in 2021. However, they do not have the weapons to oppose market benchmarks and are limited to a passive reduction of the noise. The arrival of the Pixel Buds Pro would be the opportunity for the Californian firm to take a step forward by offering active noise reduction.
The next Google I/O conference could tell us more about the firm’s ambitions. Two other products could also be presented; the Google Pixel 6a on the smartphone side and the Pixel Watch connected watch.
