Tour de France – The impressive Jumbo-Visma team

This is called an armada. Just over a week before the start of the Tour de France, Team Jumbo-Visma has formalized the composition of its team for the next Grande Boucle. Led by Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard, designated co-leaders by their leaders for this edition, the team looks very proud. Unhappy these last two editions, the triple winner of the Tour of Spain hopes to finally defeat the Indian sign on the Tour. Second last year, Jonas Vingegaard will also have his card to play depending on the state of form and the dynamics of his Slovenian teammate.

Muzic: “I think there will be an atmosphere of madness in the Planche des Belles Filles”

The two riders will above all be able to count on teammates of choice, and not the least. Winner of three stages in 2021, Wout Van Aert has made the green jersey his priority for this 2022 edition. But whatever happens, it will be a major asset for his leaders. Same story for Tiesj Benoot, Steven Kruijswijk, Sepp Kuss and Frenchman Christophe Laporte. The former Cofidis rider has fully blended into the Batavian collective and is rewarded for his very good performances.

Also note the absence of Australian rider Rohan Dennis, landed from INEOS at the start of the season. Performing in his role as a teammate, especially in Paris-Nice, the Belgian Nathan Van Hooydonck was preferred to the double time trial world champion in 2018 and 2019, and is the big surprise of this formation.
