The trends At your disposal
– Type 1:
Classic or household sockets are normal sockets that you find at home. This type of socket has a fairly slow charging power between 1.8 and 3.2 kVA. It is used rather for 2-wheeled vehicles or cars without a license (less than 3.7 kVA). The charging speed is estimated at around 20 km for one hour.
– Type 2:
These are domestic sockets but on a specific line with a control and protection device incorporated into the cable. Its charging power remains similar with its 3.7 kVA, therefore an estimated charging speed of around 20 km for one hour.
This type of mode is intended for homes or businesses.
– Type 3:
The specific type 2 or 3 sockets are connected to a wall terminal offering control, protection and optimization of the load. The charging power is higher than the previous two, between 3.7 and 50 kVA. The charging speed is increased, thereby, with 20 to 140 km in 1 hour.
They are often found in individual homes, in the car parks of businesses and shops.
– Type 4:
CHAdeMO plug
The specific sockets, namely CHAdeMO or Combo2, are fixed to a freestanding terminal operating in direct current and allowing control and protection. The charging speed is even higher with its 140 to 250 km range, in one hour (between 22 and 50 kVA).
We regularly see them on public roads for quick recharges.
3B – Supercharger:
This socket is similar to Mode 4, but charging is even faster. The charging speed allows you to regain 300 km of autonomy in just 15 minutes.
Again, these types of bollards are found on public roads.
