Tesla further increases the prices of its electric cars in France

Tesla cars are again victims of price hikes, which had already increased steadily in recent months. Some models reach the highest prices ever recorded by the American manufacturer.

It has now been several months since Tesla was forced to revise its price list upwards for its entire range. In just two weeks, some of its vehicles had recently seen their prices increase by 10,000 euros, but these regular increases have not prevented the manufacturer from becoming the most popular with motorists thanks to the popularity of its Model 3.

Tesla is again forced to raise the prices of several cars in the United States as well as in France, probably at the increase in the price of electricity, but also minerals necessary for the manufacture of electric batteries such as nickel. Nor should we forget the global shortage of semiconductors, which has been impacting production lines for more than a year now.

Tesla prices rise up to $6,000

The largest price increase in the United States is for the Model X Long Range dual-motor all-wheel-drive version. The SUV was priced $6,000 from $114,990 to $120,990, the highest ever for this version. For its part, the Model S Long Range configuration with twin motors with all-wheel drive has increased by $5,000 from $99,990 to $104,990.

The Tesla Model Y and Model 3 were also not spared from the increases. Long Range and Performance Model Y prices increased by $3,000 and $2,000, rising to $65,990 and $67,990 respectively. The good news, if we can consider it to be one, is that only one version of the Model 3 was affected, the Long Range. Price increased by $3,500 from $54,490 to $57,990. The entry ticket for the Model 3 is therefore still set at 46,990 dollars. We are therefore very far from the 35,000 dollars of the first versions of the Model 3 a few years ago.

Tesla also increases the prices of Model Y and Model 3 in France

As expected, the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y have also seen their prices increase in France. The entry ticket for a Model 3 Propulsion is now 2,500 euros more expensive, at 53,490 euros. The Grande Autonomie goes from 59,990 euros to 62,490 euros, an increase of 2,500 euros. For its part, the Performance undergoes the lowest increase, only 1500 additional euros, and goes from 64,990 euros to 66,490 euros.

The Model Y Grande Autonomie is 7000 euros more expensive than at the beginning of the year. It was then sold for 59,990 euros, but benefited from an ecological bonus of 2,000 euros. Today, it is offered at 64,990 euros, and it takes 69,990 euros for the Performance version. At these prices, none of the versions are eligible for the ecological bonus.
