A new app update should let users know the price of a car route based on the tolls on it
The Google Maps GPS application, one of the most used, will soon be equipped with a new practical feature as fuel prices have continued to rise in recent weeks. It will now be possible to calculate the price of your trip by car, details the Frandroid site.
A future update should thus allow users to choose the route options, the price of tolls, but also the most “efficient” roads in terms of energy. Until now, it was already possible to avoid toll roads but without knowing the exact price.
The update is currently available in the United States, India, Japan, and Indonesia. Google says other countries will follow. France must therefore still wait. This new feature is available on Android and iOS apps. The web version of Google Maps is not affected.
