The supporters of the 20 L1 clubs are in the starting blocks. It is this Friday that the Professional Football League (LFP) will unveil the calendars for the 2022-2023 season of L1 and L2. In preview, The Team reveals the first day of Ligue 1 which will take place on the weekend of August 6 and 7.
PSG, defending champion, will travel to Clermont. OM, its runner-up in 2021-2022, will receive Reims while Monaco will be at La Meinau to challenge Strasbourg, for what will serve as the first shock of the season. Stade Rennais will play its first derby at home against FC Lorient. OGC Nice will challenge a promoted, Toulouse, champion of L2.
As for the other two promoted, AC Ajaccio will go to Groupama Stadium to face OL and Auxerre will visit LOSC which has just separated from Jocelyn Gourvennec. FC Nantes, winner of the Coupe de France, will travel to Angers for a second derby on this first day. Lens will host Stade Brestois and Montpellier Troyes.
Note, a small novelty this season: the two matches between PSG and Lens are now part of the top 10 of the best posters. The Parisians will travel to Félix-Bollaert for the 17th day before receiving the Blood and Gold on the 31st.
